I see plates of truck (and I know when I can to take pfoto before I see plate) but I can't take photo of truck on this strip.

Sad to hear that. I tried out a new spotting place last week, and I was really easy to see because it was on this steep hill so many trucks were travelling it up at snail pace. Luckily the only reaction I got besides stares was a truck honking and flashing high beams. Sadly I did not manage to capture the flash, but still was interesting. A bit uncomfortable to me thought because I prefer to be invisible.

After years of busspotting and strange driver' reactions both good and bad I can talk with nervous people about taking photos
I treat flashing as a good reaction. 80% that cases was by friendly drivers.
At some time I plan to change my place a bit and look for some place near east-west highway. It will interesting I hope. And I will catch more UA cars/trucks.

Myself I actually avoid spotting busses because I don't like having 50 faces staring at me when I'm taking the picture.

I can fully agree with you guys! When I spot by that wall across from Taco Bell (photos like THT 559), I'm always in the car, that way it's harder for people to see me!
