Nissan Laurel Altima

1st gen (A31), 1989–1993

License plate of Bahrain, Cars

Relatively clean example of the "Laurel Altima", a rebadged A31 Cefiro intended for the left hand drive export markets. A lot of these were turned into drift cars or burnout machines globally, wiping them out left and right as a result.

In the Gulf market specifically, the A31 Altima replaced the aging C32 Laurel & R31 Skyline and acted as a direct rival to the beloved 4th gen Toyota Cressida. The Laurel Altima was discontinued after the 1994 model year, indirectly replaced by the A32 Maxima. The Altima name plate wouldn't return to the GCC market until 2004 for the 2005 model year.
