Really strange,completely ordinary plate.Have you seen transferred plates in Bahrain?Is there such a practice?

Yes to both, my old RAV4's plate was transferred to one of our Mazda 6s when we sold it (check "203070"). The confusion is mainly what you said, it doesn't look like an expensive plate to keep around.
