I feel bad for you that you missed that Belarus plate too. Isn't it so annoying when you see a plate you really need to spot pass you by? It happens to me sometimes, and I feel sad that I couldn't spot them

This has always been interesting to me. In a state/province which has only a rear license plate, how can you get away with displaying a Canadian plate on the front in the USA, and vice-versa in Canada? I've even seen some cases where a plate from a different state is displayed on the front of a US car. Surely it's not only confusing but also illegal?

That's right! Sometimes, they actually belong to the vehicle, like 7UNL064. It actually comes back to the Prius it's on. Sometimes, I've seen souvenir plates, and they're even still there today.

Same goes in Alberta, I've seen plenty of cars with California plates on the front and even Montana, which we share a border with. Not as many Canada-Canada instances, but they do exist.

I used to see a Pickup truck with an old SC plate up front, and the new one at the back. I currently know of this car:
It went from 7YUL847 to UXK 627. It still has 7YUL847 on the front, and it should be rather easy to spot it again, as it's local to me.

It had Canadian plates when I looked it up, Carfax doesn't do too well with decoding Canadian cars sometimes. Regardless, I don't know why any of this matters since I still got the model correct + this thread is years old?
