Although I see them skyrocketing in value like all low-production performance cars do these days

I mean... they already have, they had been as cheap as $50k USD for a nice one and now they are back at MSRP or slightly above

I've been toying with the idea of a MK7.5 R for a new daily, new they were 42ish USD, and now even the 2019s are still usually over 35k for a decent one. I want to spend sub 35 and ideally 30

The MK7.5s were holding their value pretty good but now that the MK8 is out those prices should start to drop some. Sort of why I ended up with a MK7 - it was relatively high mileage with bad paint but it was a good deal and the interior and everything was really nice. Plus it had the Pretoria wheels which are my preferred wheels Golf R wheels!

Fair enough yeah. Right now, my Volvo is going just fine with 216k miles thankfully but I'm pretty sure Golf R is the replacement. I really want a Lapiz blue 6 speed with prets MK7.5

I suppose high mileage is subjective - mine had about 70k km on it (~45k miles). I always forget that europen cars are actually built to last
