Pretty sure consent from the author isn't required for uploading Creative Commons photo for BOT. That said, shouldn't these photos be transferred back to their original authors if the photo was taken by someone that is already on Platesmania?

Hi D.! At Flickr I set my settings to "Attribution" (some rights reserved), so it is possible: "Licensees may copy, distribute, display, perform and make derivative works and remixes based on it only if they give the author or licensor the credits (attribution) in the manner specified by these. Since version 2.0, all Creative Commons licenses require attribution to the creator and include the BY element."

I'm fine with people at Wikipedia or Platesmania using my work, as long as there is a link to my own work.

However, perhaps I will ask Platesmania if I can replace the bot photos once I start uploading mine. I also noticed that a lot of my photos from Belgium have already been uploaded by someone else, but not by a bot and without a link to my Flickr account.

We can transfer these already uploaded bot photos to your account if you prefer. Or just replace the photos with your own upload.

If you could transfer these photos, I would appreciate it! All of my photos are public to everyone though, these photos are not (yet) it seems.
