That's great! :D I spotted their car outside the Berlin European Commission building nearby. I was intrigued with the fact that it has a North Rhine-Westphalia seal, suggesting that the car probably has ties to the regional representation offices in Bonn.

I have seen this one in Brussels already, I'm a chauffeur at the European Commission in Brussels, don't know the guy that drives the Audi but seen him before over here. btw pity that we can't add Belgian CD plates yet!

That sounds like such a cool job, I bet you cover a lot of kilometres doing that, though I guess you can't go into too much detail about your job for security reasons? I'm looking forward to having Belgian diplomatic plates represented here, as well as the rare 'EU' plates too.

Belgian diplomatic plates will also be added. They have only CD-AB-123 format
without coding by diplomatic missions.

Yep I did quite some mileage before Covid started... been driving Commissioner’s, Director Generals etc. Workload decreased since then though! On our private cars we had 4 different EUR plates in the 24 years that we’ve been living in Belgium. They stopped all those special plates some years ago, also the “8”-plates for international organisations that were introduced between 2010 and 2014 after changing the plate system to 7 digits in 2010 (also the odd “9”-plates for vanity plates are disappearing now more and more). Have a look at 8-AAA-688, that was our previous motorhome

Juterman that’s fantastic news! No coding also with the older style plates (with CD in green and either A000 or 000A in red) There is a collection in my garage of EUR and CD plates

 =)

It's a shame that they not longer issue those EUR plates. I only ever spotted a few over the years, as well as the '8'-series plates too. It's amazing to see a motorhome with those plates, not an everyday sight at all. Did you do a lot of travelling in the motorhome? :)

We changed it after 24,000 km in 2017 as my wife fell in love with a Mobilvetta K-Yacht (1-THT-279) with a really nice outlay inside. Usually some thousand km every year but didn’t move it this season....

That's totally understandable, the K-Yacht looks like a really smart-looking motorhome, stands out from the crowd. Hopefully you'll be able to travel in it more next year!
