My 80.000th photo on the site!
The first Ford Corsair in the HU gallery!
There are 4 ancient abandoned cars parked in a row in this yard, I discovered them on Google Street View. (a friend lived close by, but I haven't been to this particular spot) I went to take a look in April this year, and noticed a rear plate on one of them! Unfortunately the leaves were already too thick for a good shot of the whole car, so I decided to return in the winter, which happened the last weekend.
I took the photos, believing it to be an old Taunus or something. After getting home, I checked the database, which gave no brand (only a date of 2017 when it was withdrawn from traffic, but obviously hasn't been running for much longer). Then I tried looking for similar cars in google, and found that it's nothing I was thinking of... after digging around for some time, it turned out to be a really rare model, that I've never heard of before! So I decided to make this my milestone upload :)
My original plan was this photo: https://platesmania.com/xx/nomer26762262
#80000

MOT expired most likely in 2008. More photos, including the other cars, will be posted in the comments.

I think a Moskvich 403 (the only photo I could take in the spring), then some smaller car that's mostly covered, followed by this car and a Rover P6. Looks like the Corsair shared taillights with the Rover.

All of them are UK Fords, which makes it an even more extraordinary found. :ups: The covered little blue one is an Anglia 105E/123E, according to its long roofline could be an estate. The green 2-door is from the same Corsair generation as the white 4-door, but with a modified (likely home-made) quad-headlamp front.

Interesting, the other 2 deceived me :D
Street View shows a small part of the unknown car, is it an Escort Mk1? Or something else like a Renault 8?

Yep, an Escort mk1. Somewhat less surprising, as a smaller amount was officially sold of them by Merkur in 1969, but fits well to this company. :)
By the way the others could have been in Hungary since new as well, as some Anglias and even Corsairs were also presented in our roads back then.
