I don't think they really know the meaning. In China all vehicles need to registrated as a bunch of code in Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in China. Take Yutong E12 for example，the full code can be ZK6126BEVG1，also different configuration lead to different code. ZZ is just the code for CNHTC，that is the reason why all CNHTC have “ZZ-seires” in pm. Actually it should be taken off.
