Needless to say, first XKSS in the Irish gallery!
XKSS Continuation, one of only 9 worldwide!
(Chassis number XKSS776)
"In the early evening of February 12th 1957, a fire broke out at Jaguar’s Browns Lane factory destroying nine D-type’s that were planned to be converted to the road-going Jaguar XKSS.
In 2016 Jaguar Classic announced that they would build those nine cars and build them to the exact 1957 specification, which included each car being designated their period correct XKSS chassis number. The nine cars were immediately snapped up by individuals in all four corners of the globe and the car we present here today is only the second example ever to be offered for resale. This example, chassis number XKSS776 is finished in its period correct colour combination of Cream over Red leather as per Jaguar’s records."
