They are indeed rare but not as rare as you might think, UAZ managed to sell a few of these when they decided it was a good idea to open up dealerships in Mexico right before the pandemic. It obviously didn’t work well for them and they ended up closing almost all of them, UAZ had a very niche market in Mexico. Only those who wanted a quirky and reliable off road car for pleasure bought them.

An Stepway version! is rare to see, especially coming from a Mexican Northern state where Renaults are not very popular.
