Actually these kind of euroband style plates are more common than I thought in Malaysia (definitely much more common than in Singapore). One of my spots has a German euroband whilst another one has a EU euroband (rather bold of them to suggest the EU as one country

Can confirm, too, though I've also seen plates with eurobands replaced by state flags as well.

No, mine's on a Smart Roadster and it happens to also have the Portuguese-style date on the right like the link I posted earlier, but this time in red!
