Actually these kind of euroband style plates are more common than I thought in Malaysia (definitely much more common than in Singapore). One of my spots has a German euroband whilst another one has a EU euroband (rather bold of them to suggest the EU as one country )

Can confirm, too, though I've also seen plates with eurobands replaced by state flags as well.
