 my first legal car was a '76-model with round headlamps. Unfortunately it was scrapped. I still miss that car...

I was about to buy a 75 Kadett that was sitting in a garage together with a lawn mower I once bought. Saw the Kadett sitting and asked the owner about it, it was his first car and had been parked in the 90s. He wanted to sell it and I was very interested, but it hadn't been started since the 90s and apparently the engine was locked up so I didn't want to buy it anymore. I'd love to own one at some point :)

My grandpa had a model B, and he used to always tell me how cool it was to have that little window in front you could pull down to get air :bad:

We have that too on our 65 VW Beetle and the 62 Opel Rekord my dad had some time ago :)

It must have been a coincidence, but just before I scrapped my Kadett C in 1988 I also had a Kadett B. It never had its plates on while I owned it, but I managed to fix it so it could start. But I had suddenly got my hands on a 1977 Volvo 242L, so the Kadett was no longer interesting to me. And no-one was interested in buying a 16 year old mustard yellow Kadett without plates, so it too unfortunately ended up in the scrapyard.. :(
Many years later I bought a Kadett B Coupé in Tønsberg, also that one without plates. The plan was to fix it up and get it on the road. The challenge was getting time enough, so the car was sold to a colleague with the same plans. Unfortunately he just parted the car, and scrapped it...
