It's really incredible when there's one owner on a car for more than 20 years, that's my opinion :) 31 years is just amazing!! He must really love his car  And what a spot for a Platesmanian!! !;) Congrats!

Thanks! :) It's really fun to see these amazing cars with likewise amazing owners  Something I've noticed is there is a certain look an older car can have that makes me think "This car must've been owned by the same person for a long time", which is often true when i look up the plate later :D

I totally agree. Seeing cars that have been with the same owner for decades inspires a real sense of nostalgia and brings memories of a long gone era when the car, for many families, was almost seen as a beloved family member, many even had nicknames, and children grew up with that family car providing countless memories of vacations, warm summers and cold winters. The car meant freedom, pride and also the family car was part of your identity.

Nowadys you just lease a car for a short period, rarely more than maximum 2 years, often just 6 months. Almost every car is white, black, silver or some shade of grey because a) it keeps value better and b) looks serious (for heaven's sake, the last thing you want is to not be taken seriously/respected due to your car having a "silly" colour)

Also the modern attention span is ultra short, people get bored with their cars as with other things and just "swipe the out" when no longer interested, in favour of a new and "more interesting" model.

So... seeing a car that has been with the same owner for decades, earns my respect.
