A genuine, original Romanian-delivered Proton Gen-2. Insane.
Back in the early-mid 00s, Proton tried to enter the Romanian market with the 400, later on bringing the Gen-2 to us. Obviously, they failed miserably, so I can't imagine they sold many. In fact, the presence of Proton in Romania is lost media excluding this car, an old discussion on a Dacia forum and a now deleted ProMotor article from 2008.

In Hungary they tried to sell the two Mitsubishi rebadges, 300 and 400, in the late 90s and early 2000s, but also very few were sold so this model didn't even reach the HU market.

Supposedly we also got those, but through Auto Cobălcescu and their taxicab firm, Taxi Cobălcescu. That also means for a short time you could see Proton taxis in Romania, but no photos are sadly available
