I wish you the very best of good luck getting insurance on a Japanese Imported modified sports car at 18, I just managed to get insurance on domestic cars at 18 let alone imports, I had to wait until I was 21 to find a company that charged less than the value of the car on annual insurance

I have one car currently insured in America and my Mustang was before I imported it here, and the insurance in America is a breeze. I've also insured a car in Germany, which was even easier and cheaper than America! I'm not even joking one of the biggest reasons I have for wanting to leave the UK is because of our horrible car insurance setup (and Brexit, of course!).

I had never any problems with insurance even though I already changed my car twice in 4 years. I even got my first reduction for driving without an accident already

Take every reduction you can get To be honest, insuring the American market imported Durango here was probably more straight forward than my old 2.0 non turbo UK market Subaru, being unknown to the motor trade here they tend to make them more general rather than going into intricate details on a car they know everything about... Or maybe I just got lucky there
