I was just going to say, 'thats not sold here, I wonder why they were testing it' but then I realised how suspiciousely similar it is the the MG HS which came out over here in 2020 for the 69-plate. It's probably just a Chinese rebadge

I knew it looked familiar! https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/coventry-news/jaguar-land-rover-roewe-camouflage-15437221 Here is another one of the cars, not the same reg, but its thr same car and the article dates a month after I spotted this car
I say, this is more like a prototype test mule of the MG HS being camouflaged with its final design body shell applied, as I can see the taillights of the MG peeking out.
Considering likely both first gen Roewe RX5 and current MG HS shares the same platform, if we compare the design between those two SUVs on this test mule, that taillight design is the latter rather. The design of the rear foglights also don't match to the ones found on the RX5. The picture from the article link shows the exterior body shell design is pretty much more towards to the HS.
Therefore, not a rebadge. Besides, the Roewe RX5 being sold as the MG RX5 already exists, but it's for the UAE and Philippines, as well Cambodia, Iran and select South American markets. The MG HS is a totally different model. Not sure how SAIC Motors would did this by that time they're testing this car for Europe, possibly they used the Roewe as a base, in order to hide the MG HS' identity.
