It took a lot of investigation, but I found its original plates! ARY-587
Issued a few months after the current system debuted in Hungary in August 1990. Exported to England in 2018.
Seems it has the original frames as well!

The frame is from a car shop in Monor, a small town close to Budapest. The last Hungarian owners also lived there.

Yes, it was imported shortly before that. The original UK owner has an instagram page with a lot of photos of this Barkas, but it seems like he's sold it since then.
