Mercedes-Benz A-Klasse

4th gen Sedan (V177/Z177), 2018–2025

License plate of the United Kingdom, 2001 year system

One night last month, I came across this A-class, which had been left abandoned at the entrance/exit of a junction. It appeared to have been sat there for a few hours. A fellow delivery driver called 101 (non-emergency), to let the police know about this car.

Spotted in York, United Kingdom

Stolen and the thief couldn't work out how to drive it? A similar thing happened in Germany a few years ago, they robbed an old man in his driveway and stole the Mercedes, but there was some kind of limiter engaged and they couldn't get it to drive more than city speeds, so they abandoned it on a Motorway on-ramp :D

At first I thought maybe it had broken down somehow, but honestly that probably was more the case. I would've thought the type of thief who would steal a modern Mercedes would know how to circumvent such hindering measures when stealing such cars :D Weird place to abandon a car though!
