All police officers authorised for response driving undergo a blue lights training course. Response driving is a lot more complicated than it looks mainly due to the factor of other traffic on the road, it requires a lot of forward thinking and observation. As a result response driver error is not unheard of. But it is also relatively common for police cars to be damaged when trying to stop another vehicle.
The X5 though... that is some serious damage!

Yep it was in the grounds of the police station, I think it is for spare parts.
