Yep - in Albert Dock! I went to the Tate, but only briefly; I was up there to visit Liverpool University/Liverpool Hope and Manchester Metropolitan to find out whether or not I want to study there.

Ohh that's cool. Manchester Met is supposed to be a great University. Starting September, i'll be studying at Leeds Beckett, would have gone further afield, but it's more ideal for me to drive there everyday. What are you planning on studying if you don't mind me asking?

Ah, cool! I want to study Environmental Sciences - and then go on to do a masters in Marine Biology
I'm thinking of applying to a few universities further away - possibly Oslo, Norway and Groningen, Netherlands. What are you studying at Leeds?

Awesome. I'm planning on studying Broadcast Media Technologies, very interested in making documenteries. I may spend a semester or year doing Study Abroad, either in Stuttgart, Prague or Tampere, Finland. Cambridge seems to be one of the best University cities in the UK though, why not study there?

Oh nice! I've heard Prague is a beautiful city! Cambridge is one of best universities in the world - and THE best in the UK according to The Guardian and a fantastic city, but I've been here for 16 years, so not only do I want to leave Cambridge, but the UK in general - especially since the Tories are in power - and look good to stay there for a good few years!

Totally understand, i feel the same with York. Amazing city, but i'm a little bored of staying here all the time (been here for 20 years), much prefer the idea of traveling to a nearby city in the car, plus studying abroad is much more interesting i think. For Media type Jobs, York has quite a poor selection whereas the bigger main cities have much better opportunities, not too sure if it's the same with Cambridge, i feel that both Cambridge and York are very similar in general.
