Unfortunately this is a "License plate without vehicle". The BMW is a European model, and the license plate is registered to a Subaru Forester!

Ok, but you can correct it: http://platesmania.com/uk/nomer11633485 is an LHD Renault Laguna.
I said from the beginning that it is "License plate without vehicle" but somebody corrected it wrong.

Sometimes moderators don't pay attention and change license plates without vehicles back to the brand of the car they are on... Please report it to be fixed again in such a case.

I thought the US version had a narrower section for the rear license plate, but I guess I was wrong!

In any case, one small detail you can notice is the screws holding the plate on your photo are in the middle of the license plate. The US models do not have holes there, they have holes exactly made for the US plates (as you see, the plate has holes in all 4 corners).

Agree, and to me at least, much of the fun is in the detective work - tracking the history of a vehicle/plate, identifying, "revealing" fake/incorrect plates.
