It was a bit of a gloomy day in SC today, wasn't it? I was initially not even gonna try because I have an 8MP phone camera, but I was actually able to get some things!

Yeah, had it since 2018, haha! It was new when I got it, too! I've been looking at a phone with a 64MP camera lately, so I'm thinking about a new one! Takes better night photos than I expected. What MP camera is your phone? You have amazing photos!

Still more than mine lol! Sometimes in cloudy and rainy conditions, my phone blurs up, so that's not good. It's very annoying when I'm going into the sun, tbh. Lighting is very important in this hobby.

Yeah, you're probably right on that. Just simply too much light for the camera to handle. I tried it back in 2020, and the windshield spots covered the entire picture.

I thought my spotting day was over because it was pouring, but it lightened up a bit. That's why I want a Subaru. AWD, ya know?

iPhone 8 so I guess 12? I found that it’s not so much the megapixels, but Slowing down for the shot and trying to get good lighting and not shooting into the sun.
With the phone that has now passed, it had a weird way of brightening up the entire photo in a sun glint (even if it only had a little bit in a corner), lighter colours first like the plates. With my new phone it automatically takes both a photo and a short little timelapse photo thing, which does not kill the phone's storage averaging 3MB per photo (12MP camera) and it does the standard glint where it goes but the timelapse makes it easier to find shots without glint. With my camera it takes photos slowly but it provides pretty realistic sun glint so it means i just have to shift an angle, maybe adjust the zoom but it works out well in that regard and i can see the sun glint better.

Yeah! it’s only a part time job, it’s at Roses Express which is a chain store (I guess google it) it’s like a better Dollar General but cleaner compared to ours
