Just saw a Nebraska plate on the Internet with the new Kentucky font. Apparently the change happened last month, but besides that, that state is introducing new license plates in January.

What do you all think of the background of that plate?

Quite elegant in my opinion. What's interesting is that the design was unveiled with the now apparently former font, together with a leaked plate from fictitious county #94 in the 2023 design:

Oh, I hadn't seen the news about the Kentucky font, just the new base. I dislike the Kentucky font and think the base is bland. You won't be able to see the design unless you are right behind the vehicle. Also, why is their a mythological image on a Nebraska plate? that's not exactly the first place I think of when I think about mythology.

I have to agree, not a huge fan of the base. Its unique for sure, but not something I'd put on a license plate. I'd maybe do something like a barn or some corn? I mean it is called "The Cornhusker State". In my opinion, my favorite new plate design is OH.

If only they got rid of that font...

Yeah, this base is odd. The current base is definitely better than this new base. The font doesn't really help, either. I wonder why they decided to put s mythological picture in the background, though...

Here's what it's based on from a news article I read: "The design features a mosaic pattern depicting the Genius of Creative Energy, based on artwork on the capitol building's floor."

Here's a picture of this tile:

Basically, they designed the license plate from a floor hahahah

Wow... That's a bit sad lol. Probably the least effort it has taken to design a license plate...
