VINwiki is so unreliable. I wish they’d either focus on the YouTube channel or commit to focusing on the app. I’ve had it give me an error saying the VIN isn’t found from a license plate. I hit search 2-3 more times and then it generates the VIN. Really unreliable but hey, the app isn’t generating a revenue stream like YouTube is I guess….

It's more stable on iOS, not sure if you're an Android user or not. I was on the Beta test team a few years ago when they were going to make some updates, but that obviously didn't happen. I joined the app in 2017, and there has been almost no changes other than a few shortcuts to add vehicles to lists etc. The look, function, and features are all the same. Frustrating and that is part of the reason I mostly post on PM now. That and the fact that content here is moderated and there are quality standards.

Other members have been suggesting updates, and I'd definitely help them out if I had some experience with this development stuff. I'm trying to increase my time here on Platesmania, so stay tuned for more CDJR Cruise-In photos! It's nice to have some kind of control over what's posted. I've heard that people on VINWiki have posted some very... unappealing photos. Plus, people can post troll photos, and get away with it, unless somebody sends an email to the VINWiki team. There was an incident with that recently...

Lol, I ended up getting doxxed on VW because I called someone out for taking my pictures without giving me credit. They paid the $25 to get an AutoCheck report on my car and posted the information to the app in order to get even with me.
