I remember seeing one of these before I was a spotter! It was 8FP H94, and I actually thought about taking a picture once, but I was too afraid. It has since moved here, and doesn't drive around much.
Yeah, I wish I had started spotting earlier, I'd probably have thousands and thousands of more plate photos. At least my photos prior to plate spotting were car photos, so most of the time, the plate was fully visible. What I've noticed about some just platespotters is that they take very zoomed in photos of just plates, and if I had done that, and then found out about PM, I'd have been pretty upset haha

Same, I saw some good things back before I was a spotter (For example, 4YQB830, which is now in Indiana. Something I most likely could've had if I were as good as I am now back then. I always do it for the car, haha! Even if it's the plate that makes it special (like an out of state plate), the whole car itself is still special. Yeah, they kind of take platespotting a little too literally haha! Back in 2020 before I was good at this hobby, I accidentally zoomed in on a car's plate as I was walking by it, and the result wasn't too good. I'm also glad I don't do that, though!
