Wow! This nothern lights design is amazing. I've never looked into Alaska plates much so this is the first time I see this design. It might just be my favorite new American one!

Totally agreed. I never knew about this plate base, just assumed that most Alaska plates were the distinctive yellow examples like I spotted on this Honda Pilot back in 2011! I'm surprised just how popular such plates are though.
I've been looking forward to sharing my Alaskan spots here on Platesmania for a long time, so the opening of the AK gallery on my Birthday was extra special
