Beerlab you don't have foreign spots. Does Vietnam not allow cars with foreign plates?
Well they do, for 30 days to be precise. But since I live in the Northern region of Vietnam which borders Laos, and Laos isn't supported by the gallery yet. But in the Southern region which borders Cambodia, there are a lot of Cambodian plates there and it's supported by the gallery. There have been many Cambodian plates spotted by people there.
turtle-bienhoa Are there any Chinese plates in the North? Or is it just the border area?
To be honest, I have never seen a single Chinese plates in Vietnam. I think the reason might be related to complicated relations of Vietnam and China. But I have seen some Chinese plates on the news though, at Lào Cai-China border.
Well but for some weird reason, vehicles with Chinese plates only show up at the Northern border provinces, not in any other region of Vietnam. I really hope that I could caught a Chinese plate one day.

Thanks. Is it possible to find cars from the 90s in Vietnam? Whose production is this? I don’t mean late imports, but cars that have been in Vietnam since the 1990s

Sure, although most of them would be Soviets/Russian cars. 90s Japanese cars are rarer since only the government could import them at the time.
