My family is originally from Ukraine. But in the 90s, my father served under a contract, and since he was a good soldier, he was sent to peacekeeping missions, for example, in 1992 he was sent to Angola, where he distinguished himself, and already in 1994 he, along with 49 of the best soldiers, was the first to be sent to Bosnia, where NATO was conducting a peacekeeping mission. But it was not a peacekeeping mission at all, as they were often fired upon, they engaged in gunfights, etc.
