Ah right! I was wondering whether there had been a time where back plates didn't have the flags. Still qualifies as my oldest Swiss plate  :D

Yes there was a very short time when swiss plate had no coat of arms at the back. If I recall correctly starting in 1952 and then about 1-2 years.
