There is a craze for imported used cars in Bulgaria. A lot of cars on the road here are imports from Germany, Italy or Switzerland. Our car is even a Hyundai Terracan Swiss Edition.

Which models are the most popular? In Hungary, they are BMW E36/E39/E46, Audi A4/A6, Passat B5/Golf IV, Focus Mk1, Astra G/H... usually from Germany (sometimes Austria, the Netherlands, or France), most of them are clocked.

Pretty much exactly as you said, those are the most common cars you'll see imported.

I love Bulgaria, visited not once! But it was for the first time I have seen swiss plates!

Glad you like it! There are really some very nice and historical sights around the country, and our seaside seem to be a very liked holiday spot, especially so for Russians and Ukrainians. Last time I was there was in Pomorie in 2014, I remember that at the beach most of the speech I heard was Russian. Too bad I wasn't spotting back then, could've caught some nice cars and plates.

a lot of interesting cars (with interesting plates) on the seaside were from German SHA-region ( Schwäbisch Hall). http://avto-nomer.ru/de/nomer7360370

I traveled across the country! From historical sights most interesting for me was Shipka! From seasides - it was Sv.Vlas, near Sunny Beach!

From what I know, some people who drive high-end cars have their cars registered in Schwäbisch to avoid paying higher taxes or something of that sort. I won't be surprised if most of the cars haven't ever been to Schwäbisch Hall. Even I've seen a few Audi's and such in Veliko Tarnovo with SHA district plates.

I haven't actually been to any of those myself. My family don't really travel a lot, but I will surely visit these places one day!
