I don't know if you know lulzyboy, he is a user of the site (you can type his nickname) and he has visited almost all of europe and he even traveled from estonia to mauritania with his skoda octavia.

I was planning to go around the British Isles by car or to go to Cyprus (always by car) last summer but unfortunately due to the covid we had to cancel everything. Regarding lulzyboy I have seen photos of him, but I did not know that he had also gone to Mauritania by car.
Nice car mate! I also own a car, but I didn't travel with it for now due to the Covid-19 restrictions in Spain (keep in mind that I bought my current car in November 2020). This is the car I was talking about, which is a 2018 Seat Leon 2.0 TDI. And this is not the first car I had in my life. I used to have a 2002 Seat Ibiza 1.4 between 2017 and 2020. I did travel with that car around Spain, unlike with my current car. One of my dreams is to get a car that it's not a Seat (probably a Dacia Logan, since it's my favourite car of all time), travel with it through all of Europe, just like lulzyboy, and do a roadtrip from Spain to Japan, if possible, though I'm still planning it.

Wow, I wish you, traveling is always a great experience . I already imagine the bewildered face of the Japanese who will look at your license plate and see the initials E. When I get the license I too would like to take a long trip by car, I was thinking a trip to Cambodia always with this car if I still have it.
My German teacher, an Italian woman has one in exactly that colour! Funnily enough exactly today I was thinking that the Yaris Verso is an almost ridiculously common car in Norway despite it's goofy looks. Seems like it was an popular choice in Italy too. My aunt owns one too with an auto. very slow car but not bad for longer trips, we drove with it to Sweden back in 2019.

yes, this car is not very fast. But as you said it is great for traveling long distances, and in the end that's the important thing for me.
I'm a bit jealous how many countries you can visit futher south in Europe. Longest road trip I have been with was in my familys old Peugeot 307 SW was Tromsø - Helsinki which was 1300 km, but we only crossed one border.

This car used to be rare in Hungary, but I've realized not long ago that a lot of them were imported in the recent years. I think most people still don't travel with them, they're rather used as a city family car.

1300km drive is not bad at all , I hope for you that in the future you can make interesting trips with your car. I think the road trips are the best ever.
Thanks, you too! I already went on a smaller road trip (150 km each way) in my new car, 1996 Nissan Maxima QX and it was incredibly comfortable and smooth for it's age.

I also imagine those Japanese people with that bewildered face when they see that the car I'll be using for the roadtrip was never sold in Japan. And, about your roadtrip to Cambodia, I definitely wish you good luck on doing it sometime in the near future!

thank you very much, I too wish you the best of luck on your trip to Japan, hoping that these trips will not remain only dreams but also become reality.
I sincerely admire that you have visited so many different countries. It is a very interesting, developing and changing experience. I wish you that your dream of getting to Cambodia by car, having seen a lot of interesting countries along the way, becomes a reality. You have made a wonderful choice of a car for traveling - Toyota is indeed a very reliable car, in cars like yours, many Russians travel through all of Russia, from Siberia and the Far East to the European part of Russia and even to the EU countries and return back. If it's not a secret, which road do you plan to travel to Cambodia and return back?

thanks, i also hope to be able to make this trip, but first i have to earn some money to be able to do it. I have not studied the road well yet, I must first know the political situations of countries that I will have to cross such as Myanmar (now under a fierce dictatorship and very unsafe) once I have enough money and see the situation improved in certain countries I will start studying a path.
I look forward to making your plans a reality. By the way, perhaps one of our compatriots can help you - with a team of like-minded people, he just drove along the "southern" route through a number of countries, including Cambodia. Here is his profile on the Russian social network for motorists - https://www.drive2.ru/users/kamerzan . It is written in Russian, unfortunately, I do not know English or Italian to translate the text for you, but Google translator can help you.

Honestly, don't worry so much about political situations where possible. It's always a lot better than it's made out to be. As long as you can get the required visa and required carnet (if needed) you'll be completely fine in almost any country.
