Can we upload these special JSY auction supplied Jersey plates now, and then transfer to Jersey when the Channel Islands becomes available? Like with Isle of Man?

Yes, you may. As far as I know, license plates of Jersey have their own, specific format of numeration. However, Jersey issues special (or charity) plates in general format.

Okay thanks, I photographed a few of these JSY plates when I was on Jersey in 2014/2015, but they are not as common as I wanted so I couldn't see lots, and I was waiting for Jersey/Channel Islands to be released before uploading them.

Regarding the format: Yes you are correct. There are 2 basic formats on the island, J1-J999999 (my highest photographed is J125395, but higher is seen) and JSY1-JSY999 auction plates to raise money for charities on the island. In Guernsey there are also lead zero plates available from auction too (01-09999 and 001-00999) but I don't know where the money went - It's very hard to get information for plates in Guernsey, I was treated like a criminal. But in Jersey it was very friendly, and information was given without trouble.
