I have always told the truckers I spoke to that my interest was not so much in the truck as in its license plate, most of the times they were friendly and made me do it the photos without problems, Only with Russian and Ukrainian truck drivers I had problems, in fact now if I see a Russian or Ukrainian truck with the owner nearby I photograph it without asking. It happened to me that even for the cars the owners were happy to be photographed, some even posed.In my opinion, those who have too many problems if they photograph the license plate or have something to hide or are too paranoid and do not understand that I am not interested in sensitive data that they believe can be obtained from a plate but I am only interested in the plate itself because ours is a passion not a crime.
