It's alright! I'm still very curious about the registration, it's confirmed that it's an ancient Singaporean plate with no suffix checksum system, but it is very vaguely similar to the Tawau SW- series plates

Indeed it is a Singaporean car, interesting to see it's been rewrapped now!


I guess back then when these plates were issued they didn't pay too much attention on ensuring the plates look unique to the region that issued them, which makes us wonder now if it is a Singaporean or Malaysian plate. Also, the fact that these plates that were issued without a checksum are still legally allowed on the roads, even though as you can see there is a checksum on paper, probably doesn't help with the confusion!
