Thanks! I was so happy to see it, cars like this are super rare here, it's a shame.

Dacia in UK... Just wow! As far as I know, 1310's Dacias were not supplied to the UK. In addition, it is left-handed. So, someone just really wanted to have this car.

That's cool! I didn't know that, I wonder how many - if any - are still on the road today... howmanyleft.co.uk has no records of any still on the road, one Shifter was last shown in 2015. But this website is not always accurate.

Look, I found an article in auto-bild.ro about a Dacia Shifter abandoned in the UK, but restored in Romania.
http://www.auto-bild.ro/stiri/dacia-shifterossa-109188.html
I will try to translate the article from Romanian.

"Everyone has heard of the Dacia 1300, the 1310 model, the Solenza or, more recently, the Dacia Logan. What about Shifter? Yes, there was a car called Dacia Shifter and manufactured in Mioveni. And a limited edition was called Shifterossa.

Dacia Shifterossa was the name given to a limited edition Dacia Shifter (a Dacia Slipper 1304, sold in the UK under the name Shifter). The car named Shifterossa had a 1310 cc engine and rear-wheel drive.
The Dacia Shifterossa models were sold only RHD, were equipped with Aro 10 wheels and had a higher ground clearance. About 500 such cars were exported to the UK and even in Japan.

According to unofficial figures, there is only one Dacia Shifterossa in working order, and the car can be seen at the Dacia Clasic national meetings. It belongs to Alex Enache, a Romanian settled in Esher. The guy discovered the abandoned car in a garden, where it had been practically swallowed by vegetation. After another 3 years spent in a hangar, this precious Dacia was brought to Romania, where it was restored to order."

I think the owner is HubNut, the guy who drives all sorts of oldies around. He made a video series of it.

Hi, I drove this car back from Romania with Ian (Hubnut on YouTube). We shared ownership for a bit but I bought him out and still own it. I'm the guy in the red T shirt in the photos. Thanks for the nice comments.

Hi Rich, thanks for taking the time to say hello! :) That's great to hear it is still around, and I really hope that I (or another user here) will get the chance to see it again - I was working my way around the event making sure I didn't miss anything but I caught your 1310 two rows before I should have got to it and I cut straight across to it before working my way back to where I was and continued seeing everything in order :D plus I got to see the car twice doing it this way!

Always nice to see how many people want to see it. Will hopefully bring her at FotU again this year so long as I can get the clutch sorted in time. Might get her to other shows if I get chance too. If you see me come and say hello

I also hope to attend again this year but can't commit at the moment, hope you can get the clutch sorted, no fun having a car without a clutch! I will definitely try to track you down if I see the car again :thumbs up:

I used to watch hubnut growing up, always wanted to meet him and say hello. I saw TWC (the Invacar) at Shelsley Walsh a few years back, I was so excited, didn't find him though. I saw him at the NEC back in March but I didn't get a chance to speak to him because he was busy in a conversation. Cool bloke though
