Look, I found an article in auto-bild.ro about a Dacia Shifter abandoned in the UK, but restored in Romania.
http://www.auto-bild.ro/stiri/dacia-shifterossa-109188.html I will try to translate the article from Romanian.
"Everyone has heard of the Dacia 1300, the 1310 model, the Solenza or, more recently, the Dacia Logan. What about Shifter? Yes, there was a car called Dacia Shifter and manufactured in Mioveni. And a limited edition was called Shifterossa.
Dacia Shifterossa was the name given to a limited edition Dacia Shifter (a Dacia Slipper 1304, sold in the UK under the name Shifter). The car named Shifterossa had a 1310 cc engine and rear-wheel drive.
The Dacia Shifterossa models were sold only RHD, were equipped with Aro 10 wheels and had a higher ground clearance. About 500 such cars were exported to the UK and even in Japan.
According to unofficial figures, there is only one Dacia Shifterossa in working order, and the car can be seen at the Dacia Clasic national meetings. It belongs to Alex Enache, a Romanian settled in Esher. The guy discovered the abandoned car in a garden, where it had been practically swallowed by vegetation. After another 3 years spent in a hangar, this precious Dacia was brought to Romania, where it was restored to order."
