I was equally surprised to discover this (and actually disappointed!). According to the internet 50 were supposed to be built in UK spec and exported to the UK, although it is rumoured only around 20 ever made with the others being sold elsewhere including a few remaining in Australia and even 1 ended up in America which apparently later became the test car for the Pontiac GTO. But that's all internet talk and I haven't found anything hard to prove it, although most sources said the same so maybe it is true..!
Thanks! I'm just so angry I didn't get a proper photo of it, this is cropped from a photo of another spot, I didn't even notice it on the day apparently, or I was too slow to get another photo..!!
Exige_240R I could post a preview photo here, or you could wait ~10 days and find out depending on which types are represented in the upcoming gallery...
I actually don't mind waiting lol! I'm actually curious to see how popular the gallery is! I already know that iinashi and PrisaAutomovil21 are based in NZ, and I bet they will crank the NZ gallery way up!
Exige_240R I hope they do, I think it has only been bumped up the list because of them
Yes!! Probably the exact reason!! I think they moved the SC gallery up, since they saw I was from SC, and moved it a bit. I also think it was a bit of a coincidence, though.

I'm definitely going to fill it up; With lots of interesting bits.
There is nothing to stop you uploading the British plates now? Also, is it common to see the Euro style plate in New Zealand? I know there is a modification to make the regular plates look like the Euro plates, but the actual Euro style is the one I am really trying to search for my collection and they hardly ever come available (I have all Australian territories except WA in Euro format so really wanted NZ to join them!).
Exige_240R Chances are they are some rich visitors or a car which lives in a garage 24/7, and i spotted the VW on Holiday in Dunedin...... I will be suprised and happy if i see it again, but in the meantime i Found a PRIVATE plate on a Range Rover. Spy car cliche much?
Rather sadly no, not Ford (Aus/NZ models) either. My NZ spots so far: Ford Zodiac, Ford Ranger, Ferrari 812 Superfast, Lamborghini Huracan, 1953 Citroen and a Bentley convertible. I have spotted one New Zealand imported Ford we don't have here (window sticker confirmed it was NZ) but unfortunately it was already on GB plates, and the only one I've ever seen over here!
Well the Lamborghini is a Drift car and I believe it travels around the world. The Ferrari was only in the UK for the summer (I was following his Instagram account before I spotted his car - but he had not yet posted that the car was in the UK! So I was really amazed to see it! It has custom plates so easy to remember). The Bentley was in my local supermarket car park The Ranger Raptor was in a local town parked on the high street - I ran the plates and it was only a few months old! The Citroen and Zodiac were at classic car events and I think both for sale, so probably were recent imports rather than tourists...
