This was my Mum's first car which she had from the mid 90s to 2001. This car has now been off the road since 2006 when it had just over 80k miles. This photograph was taken in 1999.

My brother's first car was also an AX, which he bought in 1998 or 1999. Was a 1.1 model, though he engine swapped it for the AX GT 1.4 engine :D

I also have fond memories of riding around in a family friend's P-reg 1996 AX (I believe the reg was P397 PKH from memory), a 1.0 model, which we once took to Kent to visit friends and family way back in 2004. I saw my first Vauxhall VX220 on that road trip too! The AX is now a car that near enough doesn't exist on the roads these days!

Cool and yep I agree, you hardly ever see these anymore. My Mum absolutely loved this when she had it but she has now had 6 cars since she had this. A 1998 Mazda MX-5, 2003 Clio, 2005 Golf, 2002 Golf and her 2010 Golf that she has now. :thumbs up:

Well it doesn't appear to be scrapped, so I assume it was exported by the new owner it got on 14/07/2006.

Wow amazing! Is there any way you can tell where it was exported to? :thumbs up:

Ah, I recognise that website – I've only got a trial account with them, so am restricted to looking up plates with the letter 'A' in them, lol!

Sadly not without tracing the vin on every known database. The DVLA only recently started asking for export country, before that even if exported properly, you have no idea where the car went when it left.

It's worth buying the £50 packet if you buy a lot of cars as you can check literally hundreds of cars out and find a lot of nice info
