My main challenges are old cars whose numbers cannot be verified, Dodge/Ram identification, MINI models, and also when, for example, I found out the year of manufacture of the car, but the site says that both the old and the new modification were produced in this year

I mean no harm when I say this, but why do you feel the need to do this all of a sudden? It appears rather petty, and appears to serve no real purpose, apart from making people angry. Sorry if I sound rude, but I'm genuinely curious.

I have been contributing to Platesmania/Avto-nomer since 2011 (with a break). And improving pictures is what many of us used to do in comments on dark, blurry or tilted photos. The authors, believe it or not, thanked for the improvement of their original photographs. I, as you noticed, wrote what exactly I did to the photo, it's two or three clicks, so that the author and other contributirs do a similar thing next time before uploading their images. One more time, please look at other countries galleries on platesmania. Most of them contain mainly good pictures. Why should the US gallery rank last in quality?

I don't only stay in the US gallery, and I've seen many of the photos of other galleries. To me, it seems that this gallery has mostly great photos, being a smaller gallery. But, I understand where you're coming from.

In my opinion, the US has some of the worst quality in the site, and the majority of it is contained to a handful of users. Go in and compare it to the quality found in the RUS gallery or UK and the difference is vast. In my opinion, until we get more US moderators or the current moderators become more strict with quality guidelines (and delete the crap photos), this will not change. There are plenty of worse examples than this photo including photos that are too blurry, uploaded at weird angles, etc.

Axel, I think you make a great point.

The RUS gallery is hard to grade in its photos because of sheer quantity, but many users have excellent quality. And I do think the US could shape up its effort in posting.

I think this is a fair point to be honest. Even I'm doing my part to edit my older photos, just so they look better than they previously did. I agree, there are many more good photos in the UK gallery and other galleries of the like.

The Russian gallery has 12.6 million photos. Not finding a bad photo in there would be like not finding a bad person in the entirety of NYC. Point being made, on average, the RUS gallery is of significantly higher quality than the US.

its bekoz moderators try to be more friendly and loyally to us, europe, other new gallerias users, afraid to scare away new users
and looks like its time to increase level of moderation us gallery to default for rus one

Agree Vitalik, but the users with poor quality in the US gallery are the ones that have been here for many years.
