Seriously, what the hell??

There's no doubt this is a great spot, a rare plate on a good quality photo. Likes are (ideally) a tool to encourage looking for nice cars/plates, and improve our photo quality.
However, this photo received 0 likes until VehicleSpotter found it a week after it was uploaded. That's definitely not because people are not interested in it, but because it's very difficult to make interesting spots stand out on this site. There are so many users and galleries now that it's impossible to keep track of every potentially nice spot, so the number of likes depends on random people finding the photo - which many times doesn't happen because some users will "flood" and push any interesting photos way back in the gallery.

I've left similar comments on "underrated" photos several times already, and also sent links of uploads (both my own and others') to other people in private, usually to illustrate a discussion or show them a car they like. Is that also forbidden? Sounds like i deserve several months, or even years of ban.
"PR" is a problem if an user gets an unrealistic amount of likes on any uploads, regardless of quality. Here you're just working against friendships inside platesmania and taking away people's motivation to upload interesting spots...

Dear antenn, thank you for your comment, but please calm down.
It is not allowed to post in public such comments as "Why no like on this spot" and "I going share this spot on discord, i hope it will work."
This is against the rules.

Can you please show me which rule concerns this exactly? Does it say specifically what kind of comments are not allowed, or just "no unfair promotion"?
Unfortunately there have been many cases lately where a rule was too vaguely written or misleading, and a moderator took it too strictly which led to disagreement from a big part of the userbase, and I'm afraid this is happening again. The site rules need to be thouroughly updated as quickly as possible...

16.13: (here)

It is forbidden to carry out direct and indirect advertising of photos in the profile in order to get ratings (likes) to it, including by using knowledge about the algorithms of the rating system; by using the advantages of the group in placing ratings and comments; by using low-content messages encouraging other users to vote; by leaving greetings when adding duplicate photos.

This means that all the people outside the groups like you have in Discord cannot have the advantage of promotion of their photos.

rules are not translated ?

The main language of Platesmania (Avtonomer) was always Russian.
Nowdays, the translate bots are as accurate as possible and you can have the rules translated into any language.
But I agree that the updated version of the rules (which all moderators have access to since many months) should be translated at least to English.

I came here and liked this photo, although i didn't come here from the shared link, i came here from seeing the shitshow going on, so good job! I don't know why we're protecting "likes" in these ways when so many users obviously abuse this system, which coincidentaly is flawed. The numbers are meaningless from the start, when users participate in like-for-like circles that are impossible to moderate. Is a Norwegian Peugeot 307 spotted in Norway cooler than an Armenian truck in Poland because it has more likes? No, the user just didn't upload anything for a week, and they liked posts on Platesmania in that time.

Also on a site like Platesmania, with user-created content, there should absolutely be room to discuss the rules, even from the perspective of a regular user. Especially so when the "rules" aren't even in your language.
