Personally I don't find them too common, rather I tend to consistently see a couple every year. You must have some luck if you see a lot of them (but also bad luck if you can't photograph them?). Where do you visit in UK?

In Kent are always some of them (I've seen three last week). I mostly go to Wales or Cornwall for my holidays so I know the UK quite well
