Plates cannot be transferred in Bulgaria! This Mercedes has been aftermarket "facelifted". Can another moderator confirm if these are enough changes for a photo "with changes"?

The bumper and rear lights are the facelift examples, and the alloys are different too, however the side-mirrors are also squared off on this one, a hallmark of the facelift W221 (the pre-facelift W221 had more 'rounded' mirrors, like the one previously spotted). Unless the owner changed the mirrors, which I would find somewhat unlikely, but plausible, then I'm 90% sure that this is a newer S-class.

The mirrors are not exactly a complicated part to switch out. It's obvious the owner did a full makeover to make it look a facelift example. A quick VIN check says this car is a 2005. I highly doubt anybody would make an illegal plate transfer to a facelifted example of the same model just to keep the plate.

As for me, I think enought :D :drink:
May be, it is a real "illegal plate transfer", because this car looks not like 2005... !;)

You'd be surprised how complicated the mirrors on the S-class really are, from the heating element which allows the mirrors to 'de-ice' themselves, the indicators/turn signals, blind-spot monitoring system etc. On such a car like an S-class, it's not cheap to replace mirrors as a result. I came to that conclusion from experience, where I've seen for example, replica BMW M5's which are damn good replicas, but you can tell that they're fakes due to the side mirrors being the standard 5-series unit, for example. I can also confirm that the VIN does say the vehicle is a 2005 model.

Well, in such a case I would need to mark this as a "License plate without vehicle" which automatically means it needs to be deleted, as the plate is already spotted on its vehicle. :pardon:
