In Vancouver there are "High Occupancy Vehicle" lanes on the road for vehicles with more than one passenger, in an effort to combat bad traffic and to promote carpooling. Due to environmental incentives, electric and hybrid vehicles are also allowed to use these lanes regardless of how many people are in the vehicle as long as they have this sticker.

In the Vancouver area, most hybrid or electric vehicles will have this sticker, as it may save up to an hour during the daily commute.
