Oryx WOO! I had originally spotted it within that brick parking garage visible in your photo!
I was pleasantly surprised by the large amount of street parkings in Calgary! It is much more pleasant to take the pictures in natural light than in a dark garage. For example, in downtown Vancouver it is almost not possible to find such large parking lots lie here!
But the most pleasant surprise is the weather! At +12 it is so nice to walk around the city! Although in a few days the temperature will change to -21!
And one more piece of news - Alberta doesn't want to let me go! My flight to Toronto has just been cancelled (due to Covid, lol), from where the next one was booked to Halifax! But this is a cool reason to travel to Edmonton and catch an inexpensive flight to YYZ there!

Yes Calgary is very "driver oriented" like many American cities. Parking is abundant in even the more busy parts of town! Downtown Vancouver is surrounded by water on three sides and real-estate is very limited!
I'm very glad the weather was nice for you! I am dreading the incoming cold!
Oh wow - Enjoy your time in Edmonton. From a tourist perspective there isn't much to see from a tourist perspective. There is the West Edmonton Mall - the largest mall in North America! There is an indoor amusement park and indoor waterpark among other things! Are you still going to Halifax? Would be neat to see some spots from Nova Scotia on the site - I have not been there since I was a small Child!

Thank you so much for your advices! Unfortunately I got a flight right after arriving to YEG. So I didn't see a lot. It also depends on the personality of the tourist. For example I'd rather visit famous abandoned hospital in Edmonton. Also the interesting journey is made by people first of all.
I am already in Halifax and honestly I felt in love with NS! Extremely friendly people and very colorful buildings. Next time during the warm season I will hitchhike along the entire peninsula!
By the way, there's a small percentage of vanity plates and no front plates as well as both in AB, but here's a lot of individual plates. Looking forward when we will be able to upload mosteastern provinces!
We tried to meet up two times but unfortunately it didn't work. Hopefully next time! I want to visit Yukon and Nunavut, so it's a nice reason for canadian immigration officers to be kind and issue a visa! My one expires in one week.

Great! The maritime provinces are very very different than Western Canada. I am glad you have experienced the friendly people
Also glad you are seeing some neat plates - I've never seen a vanity plate from NS!
