Is it possible that this is a '71 model? Behind the Ontario plate is a Dutch licence plate. Based on the fact that the plate starts with a D and ends with a 5, I started searching the RDW database (the Dutch equivalent of a DMV) and came up with registration number DM-81-85.

This registration number is/was registered on a 1971 Citroën GS (imported to the Netherlands in 1997). The vehicle is not marked as exported, but the number plate is also still attached to the vehicle, so I suspect that is why it is still marked as not exported.

The last MOT inspection was carried out in 2018, but it missed the 2020 MOT and there has been no vehicle status update since the 2018 MOT.

I have not been able to find more information about the Canadian registration online, apart from a few event photos. I would like to know how the vehicle got from the Netherlands to Canada and why the Dutch plate is still on the vehicle.

you tell me this and now I’m curious about it. I’m not really an expert on how stuff like that works unfortunately, I just post these for fun. Also the 1971 models look exactly like this so I believe you are right on that part. My guess is maybe the owners them selves brought it and not an exporter.
