Why is the CD green? Thought it was blue.

Green CD -> official representation to Switzerland, only in Bern for CD plates, CC and AT are always green
Blue CD -> official representation to an international organization (mostly in Geneva)

CD BE 1 72 -> Ambassador of the UK to Switzerland (green CD)
CD GE 1 72 -> Ambassador of the UK to the United Nations in Geneva (blue CD)
CD GE 1 572 -> Ambassador of the UK to the World Trade Organization (blue CD)

I hope it's clear !;)

That explains why the WHO diplomatic plate from Switzerland I saw was on a blue background! Thank you!
