This car's story is a little bit complex. There is no FA24DIT engine with GPF developed, so Subaru of China couldn't import it in the traditional /official way because the engine wouldn't make it to meet the China-6b emission rule. But parallel import cars in China usually meets the rule easily without installing GPFs (we don't know why but it's true).
So Subaru of China asked help from a professional importer in Ningbo,Zhejiang to import the VB WRX through parallel import way, and the Subaru dealers are still responsible for the selling and servicing. The cars are officially imported, just in a slightly different way.
