Oh weird! I thought VW/Audi are partnered with FAW, are they now in 2 joint ventures at the same time? :ups:

Volkswagen and Audi each currently have two joint venture brands in China. As FAW-VW. SAIC-VW, FAW-Audi, SAIC-Audi. (And also Volkswagen-Anhui, sold ID. Unyx, actually rebadged Cupra Tavascan)
FAW-Audi currently sold global-spec A3, A4, A6, Q3, Q5L, etc.
Instead, SAIC-Audi sold weird CN-market only model. Including Q6 (non e-tron, rebadged VW Talagon), A5L Sportback, A7L, Q5 e-tron, and this E5 under the new sub-brand "AUDI". The current distributor structure in the Chinese market is even more chaotic than it was in Japan in the 1990s....

And to add even more to the chaos, Volkswagen is also in a partnership with Xpeng now.

Saw one of these back in August with temp plates and I thought it was a concept car. Turns out it was a test units sent to many Audi dealerships
