Tipikus németcserediákautó means a car owned by an exchange student. When you look at my German photos you can see some estate/MPV/bigger sedan/SUV cars mostly owned by Hungarian families working in Germany or tourist. These small cars with German plate are not common in Hungary where i live (Zalaegerszeg), but in Pécs, which is a bigger university city, i could see these small and sometimes cheap or sporty little student cars. Pécs is a very popular university town, because in Hungary it is very cheap to study and there are some scholarship programs for foreign students. Plenty of German/French/Vietnamese/Arabic students spend their university years here. The most popular university for the German students is the medical school, next to the building there is a street where every second car is a German car. Pécs also have a German name (Fünfkirchen), because here lived a big Swabian ethnic group in this area.
