This truck was apparently recently stopped by the police near where I live.

The truck and trailer had numerous mechanical defects. Furthermore, the truck was neither insured nor registered, and the license plates were fake.

WOW! This is most definitely the best story since I'm on PM! As you see, I've taken the picture almost 10 years ago when I dropped off my son for his studies at Edinburgh. Stayed another 2 days up there for spotting and visited the bridge at Larkhall because a befriended SCO spotter recommended it.
As far as I remember, there wasn't any security escort on that day either. Interesting how long this truck made those jobs without being checked. OK, in 2015 the T-Cab was probably still in good order. Unbelievable that the driver went from Sweden in direction Cote d'Azur without insurance and non-legal plates....

No problem.
I also wonder how long they've been doing this. I don't think driving without a registration is really a smart move with such a "conspicuous" vehicle.
